On Father’s Day Eden woke me up to show me a painting she had made for me the day before. A big heart with “Dad” written in it! Along with the painting, she brought fresh blueberry muffins that Heidi had woken up early to make. Usually on Sunday mornings either Heidi or I will go early to church to help with setup, the other will get Eden ready and then we all meet up before church starts. It was my turn to do setup this morning, but Heidi took my ‘shift’ to let me spend some time with Eden. To top it all off, she got everything ready before I woke up so I could have a relaxing morning with my daughter instead of running around packing diaper bags and lunches. Thanks Heidi!

After church, I made use of our new kid seat on my bike to cycle down to the waterfront. It was a nice change to have Eden right up in front with me. I could hear her talk about all the things we passed (lots of fire hydrants which she always needs to point out lately). Since Heidi is a little past the point in pregnancy where biking is comfortable, I got another nice chunk of time to spend with Eden by myself cycling on waterfront trails. We met Heidi at the William’s Coffee Pub near the marina.

Dessert waffles and boat watching — a great way to spend an afternoon!

We got back from the waterfront and then hopped in the car for a ride to a BBQ celebration in Grimsby with the rest of the family. We got to see all the work that Jon and Marsha have done on their new pergola, have waterfights (I used the hose after Austin got me with his watergun – he wasn’t too happy about that!) and play in the kiddie pool. Heidi’s Mom made some awesome picnic salads. Thanks Mom!

Steve and I got some great massages from our nephews!

Outdoor hockey on a warm summers day!

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. Now that this website is up, may I ask about a new travel mug with pics? Maybe I should ask to be taught how to do one myself, EH?
Loved seeing all these pics and narration! Thanks, Reuben!
