our furnace stoped working on christmas and our house got really cold. it is strange having to walk around the house in hats and gloves and still being cold. normal activity really changes. i felt bad for the cats when we got to sleep under a bunch of blankets, but they were left pawing at the heating ducts wondering where their warmth was.
we had to go with the cold for a day and a half since the energy company doesnt like to send people out on holidays. luckily, we had a furnace insurance plan that took care of the cost (needed a new presure release valve!). we are now warm again, just in time to leave on vacation for 4 days! at least our cats will be comfortable while we are gone. and hopefully they will catch the mouse that i know is living in our pantry.
